Oracle's CEO Safra Catz will join the executive committee of US President-elect Donald Trump's transition team. She will remain in her position at Oracle as well, Reuters reports, citing an Oracle spokeswoman. Catz was one of several technology industry executives who met with Trump this week. She went into the meeting saying that her industry would be better off if Trump reformed the tax code, negotiated better trade deals and reduced regulation.

Catz first served as Oracle’s CFO from 2005 to 2008, as executive vice president from 1999 to 2004, and as senior vice president from April to October 1999. She also was on the board of HSBC from 2008 through 2015.
