Oracle to acquire Front Porch Digital

Monday 15 September 2014 | 15:05 CET | News
Oracle has entered an agreement to acquire Front Porch Digital, a provider of content storage management services. Front Porch Digital's big data technologies help enterprises handle the expanding volumes of digital media content, such as high definition films and TV shows, medical images and records, and real-time security monitoring feeds. The combined companies will help organisations manage the growing complexities associated with the migration, integration, storage and delivery of rich media content. No financial details of the transaction were disclosed.
