Orange CEO criticised in Tapie affair report

Orange chairman and CEO Stephane Richard has been criticised in a report about his role in the so-called Tapie affair, when he was chief of staff of former French finance minister Christine Lagarde. A 121-page report on the affair by public prosecutor Gilles Johanet, which Le Monde has seen, accuses Richard and the former civil servants Jean-Francois Rocchi and Bernard Scemama of failing to inform the state shareholding agency sufficiently on proposals for the government to settle an affair with businessman Bernard Tapie.
