Orange Kenya replaces top expatriate managers in September

Orange Kenya has replaced top expatriate managers in a move seen as setting in motion the planned takeover of the firm by local executives, according to Business Daily. The changes came with the expiry of the expatriates' contracts in September. The French parent company agreed to replace them with locals under a deal struck with the Treasury last month. The list of those who have been replaced includes CFO Yvan Ridard, CTO Alain Bridard, chief officer for sales and marketing Xavier Villegas, and the head of customer care and marketing, Bertrand Vuillemin.
