Orange Kenya wrangles stall fibre cable project

Talks on the sale of Orange Kenya have stalled the installation of the National Optic Fibre Backbone Infrastructure (Nofbi), a government project. Orange Kenya official told the Daily Nation that the second phase of the project has not yet been sub contracted for commercialisation and maintenance. Lobby group Telecommunication Service Providers Association of Kenya (TESPOK) CEO Fiona Asonga had earlier said that the fibre business has had so much political fight hindering its success. Asonga said talks by France Telkom on the sale of their stake in Orange Kenya is also an interference,
