Orange launches 4G services in Santa Cruz de Tenerife

Wednesday 26 March 2014 | 16:27 CET | News
Orange Spain has announced the launch of 4G services in the city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife in the Canary Islands. The deployment has seen the operator invest around EUR 4 million in modernizing its access and transmission network to carry mobile data at 4G speeds. Orange's 4G network now covers the entire Santa Cruz de Tenerife metropolitan area, including the Anaza port area as well as the industrial sites of Mayorazgo. Over the course of 2014, the network will be expanded to other towns across the province, including San Cristobal de la Laguna, Arona, Puerto de la Cruz and Adeje.

sorry am I missing something there, it mentioned nothing about Santa Cruz de Tenerife being the capital of the canary islands? Read it again.
Natt Jeary @ 23/4/2014 - 11:08

Santa Cruz de Tenerife is NOT the capital of the Canary Islands, it is the capital of Tenerife. Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is the capital of the Canary Islands (seventh largest city in Spain).
