Orange launches fixed LTE network in St Martin

Orange has inaugurated a wireless local loop (WLL) network covering the French overseas territory of St Martin via five LTE cell sites operating in the 3.5 GHz frequency band. The open access network has been deployed to help operators restore broadband services after the extensive damage to telecom infrastructure caused by Hurricane Irma in September 2017.
