The French departments of Vienne and Deux-Sevres have joined forces to launch Poitou Numerique, a public initiative fibre network project that will bring FTTP connectivity to nearly 85,000 rural premises by 2022. Its overall cost is estimated at EUR 124.3 million, partly financed by regional, state and European funds.
