Orange Niger begins preventive settlement to avert insolvency, mulls partnerships or restructuring

Orange Niger is considering options, including restructuring and partnerships, as its operations remain affected by regulatory pressure stemming from socio-economic and political uncertainty, ITWeb reported. According to a document released by the Commercial Court of Niamey, Orange Niger has begun the procedure for preventive settlement to avert insolvency or a cessation of activity, and it will clear its debts via an agreement with creditors in a way that could involve paying a lessened amount over a period of time.
