Orange Romania completes store franchise programme

Orange Romania announced the completion of its store franchise programme. The new business model was launched in April 2009 and was backed by a total investment of EUR 4 million. Since the start of the programme, 171 shops have been launched under the name 'Orange store' in 82 localities across the country. On the occasion of the programme's completion, Orange launched a promotional campaign that runs in the 'Orange store' network under which customers who activate voice or data packages priced over EUR 12 are entered into weekly prized draws whose prizes are 85 LCD TV sets. The promotion runs between 26 November and 31 December. Under the franchise programme, Orange stores have an interactive area where customers have the possibility to test new handsets, data services using laptops connected to the internet as well as fixed telephony services. Moreover, employees from any Orange partner store have access to the same professional development programmes Orange employees have access to. Furthermore, they can join Orange Romania's 'Academia de vanzari (Sales Academy),' a training programme addressed to Orange's sales employees who work directly with customers. At the same time, all the partner stores are participating in the programme 'Mistery shopping' whose purpose is to monitor the quality of services. Besides the 171 franchised shops, Orange Romania's distribution nentwork includes 99 own shops, 117 points of sales under a partnership with Euro GSM and 77 points of sales in collaboration with Say.
