Orange Romania exhibits innovative design objects in own smart shops

Tuesday 12 February 2019 | 16:21 CET | News

Orange Romania said it presents the finalist projects from its Smart Design Challenge 2018 contest in its own shops. Starting from 12 February, the top 16 design objects selected by the jury of the competition are displayed in Orange's specially designed smart stores. The participants who qualified in the final stage of the contest have the opportunity to promote their objects and stores' visitors can interact with them and test them.

The display of the projects in Orange smart shops turn the stores into unconventional retail spaces for both entrepreneurs who benefit from visibility and feedback from customers as well as for technology-savvy customers interested in products from the future.

Orange smart shops in Brasov, Bucharest, Cluj Napoca, Iasi, Galati, Oradea and Timisoara will host the finalist projects until 10 March. At the same time, the audience will be able to vote their favorite project directly through the 'Tech a break' communication hub until 22 March when the final judging stage will be completed. The Smart Design Challenge contest, developed in partnership with the Romanian design platform Dizainar, will nominate its winners on 27 March. The best design project will win a prize worth EUR 5,000. There will also be 3 special mentions and a popularity prize consisting of a Samsung Galaxy Note9 smartphone.
