Orange Spain finalises collective dismissal process

Orange Spain has finalised the collective dismissal process begun following its EUR 3.4 billion takeover of Spanish broadband operator Jazztel, reports business daily Expansion. In the end, 435 workers in the provinces of Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, Valencia and Valladolid agreed to voluntary redundancy, compared to the 496 initially envisaged, but the company decided to accept the lower figure. The restructure arising from the merger also affected the company's executive committee, which will now have 11 members after three leading Jazztel executives – marketing director Luis del Pozo, sales
