Orange Spain to create fixed infrastructure subsidiary

Orange Spain has announced plans to set up a fully-owned subsidiary to manage its wholesale fixed line infrastructure business, above all its accelerated fibre-optic rollout. The operator had a total of 9.0 million households with FTTH connectivity at the end of the third quarter and recently announced that its fibre network will reach 14 million Spanish households by the end of 2019, one year earlier than planned, thanks to an investment of up to EUR 1.7 billion. The new subsidiary will give the company greater operational flexibility and efficiency when it comes to managing its Spanish
