Orange tests 900 Mbps LTE-A service in Guadeloupe

Monday 9 July 2018 | 10:18 CET | News
Orange Caraibe announced the completion of a first series of technical tests in Guadeloupe to prepare for the launch of a faster LTE-A service, with theoretical maximum speeds of 900 Mbps. The operator said that it achieved a peak download speed of 750 Mbps on compatible smartphones during tests in Baie-Mahault. The network upgrade relies on tri-band carrier aggregation, using 800 MHz, 1,800 MHz and 2,600 MHz spectrum, 4x4 MIMO and 256 QAM modulation.
