Orange to cut power consumption by 30% with network upgrade

Orange Switzerland is upgrading its GSM network and preparing its 3G mobile network for the future. To achieve this, the operator will deploy Flexi Multiradio Base Stations, which can be upgraded to the LTE technology. Customers will benefit from better in-building coverage, quicker initial connection, fewer interruptions and faster mobile broadband. The modernisation of its mobile network will cut Orange's electricity consumption by up to 30 percent.
