Orange Uganda brings out phone with Luganda-language menu

Friday 22 February 2013 | 11:14 CET | News
Orange Uganda has introduced a phone with a menu in Luganda. In a statement, Orange said the Nalongo is a dual-SIM phone with features like a camera, radio, torch screen and MP3 player. It will cost UGX 69,000. Orange Uganda hopes that the new phone will ease communication for people who do not understand English but can easily read Luganda. Nalongo, the statement said, becomes the first local language phone on the Ugandan market, amid stiff competition among telecommunication firms.
