Orange, Vivendi mulling Telecom Italia share swap - report

Wednesday 6 July 2016 | 10:29 CET | News
The heads of France's Vivendi and Orange, Vincent Bollore and Stephane Richard, have held a series of meetings to discuss a deal that would involve a swap of the stake Vivendi holds in Telecom Italia, reports French weekly La Lettre de L'Expansion. According to the unnamed sources cited in the report, Vivendi would get 4 percent of Orange in return for a 10 percent stake in Telecom Italia. That would leave Vivendi with around 15 percent of Telecom Italia after the French media conglomerate reduced its stake to 24.68 percent in May.
