Orange wins contract to deploy public-initiative network in Charente-Maritime

Orange has committed to invest EUR 281 million to bring FTTH services to 270,000 premises in the French department of Charente-Maritime, in a project that will receive EUR 45.6 million in public funding. Under the 25-year concession, Orange will complete the deployment by 2022, bringing fibre connectivity to all households and businesses in the department not already covered by the roll-out plans drawn up by operators for densely populated areas.
