Osiptel orders Peruvian operators to implement digital customer service channels

Peru's telecommunications regulator Osiptel has ordered the country's main operators to ensure customers have access to desktop and mobile applications enabling them to carry out procedures without having to leave their homes or wait for phone assistance. The watchdog said operators with more than 500,000 subscribers in all segments (internet, pay TV, fixed and mobile telephony) are required to ensure customer service tools compatible with the most popular operating systems are made available 7 days a week.
