OTE negotiates cost-cutting measures with trade union

OTE management and the trade union OTE-OME have started negotiations about new terms and conditions of employment as the company aims to reduce labour costs. Major issues on the agenda include an end to civil service status for more than 75 percent of the employees, a new salary structure based on experience and results, and cuts to the number of days of annual leave. Management estimates that labour costs consume 37 percent of total annual revenues.
