Over 100 Chilean real estate units sign up to new telecom providers law

Tuesday 11 December 2018 | 11:23 CET | News
Chile's telecommunications regulator Subtel has announced that 103 real estate projects throughout the country have signed up to register their properties under a new law that puts an end to monopolistic activities in the provision of telecommunications services to apartment blocks and condominiums. The law finally came into force in April and is designed to ensure that real estate companies no longer reach exclusive contracts with telecommunications providers, restricting the choice of residents with regard to fixed line, broadband and pay-TV services.
