Over 2 mln Mexican homes still without DTT

Over 7 percent of Mexican homes are still without digital TV (DTT) even though the country officially completed its analogue switchoff at the end of 2015, reports El Financiero, citing a survey conducted by the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI) with the support of the Secretariat of Communications and Transportation (SCT) and the Federal Institute of Telecommunications (IFT). According to the study, some 2.3 million homes have yet to access DTT due to the lack of digital receivers. DTT penetration stands at 92.7 percent of households, with a total of 28.7 million
