Over 20% of young Spaniards switch off mobile data abroad

Over in five (20.7 percent) of Spaniards aged 16 to 35 switched off their smartphone's internet connection when travelling abroad this summer, according to a survey conducted by IPSOS for Spanish MVNO .Tuenti. The vast majority (53.6 percent) of respondents preferred to use open Wi-Fi connections in hotels and cafes to connect when out of the country, with 14.0 percent opting to purchase a local SIM and just 11.7 percent activating roaming on their Spanish smartphone.
