Over 39% of Mexican broadband plans above 20 Mbps - IFT

Around 39 percent of single play fixed internet plans sold in Mexico come with download speeds above 20Mbps, up from 21 percent a year ago, according to a report from telecom regulator IFT. The watchdog found 9 of the 23 plans analysed in the survey came with 20Mbps-plus speeds, followed by 26 percent with download speeds between 10Mbps and 20Mbps, 22 percent between 4 Mbps and 10 Mbps, with just 13 percent offering speeds below 4 Mbps.
