Over 55% of Montenegro households have internet

The annual survey on the use of ICT in Montenegro by Monstat has revealed that 55.8 percent of households claim to have internet access at home. Internet access is mostly via PC (77.9%) and laptop (56.7%), while 29.7 percent used mobile phones. DSL is the most popular type of connection with 59.6 percent, followed by wireless internet (34.3%), mobile broadband (20.4%) and narrowband (9.4%). Among those households that do not have internet, 17.1 percent said they are not interested, 14.2 percent said the equipment is too expensive, while 11.1 percent claim internet access is too expensive.
