Over 59% of French homes watch TV via DTT - study

DTT is still the most popular means of receiving TV in France, present in 59.1 percent of homes with at least one TV set, according to a newly published study by broadcast regulator CSA based on data from the 1st half of the year. DTT penetration rose by 1.2 percentage points over 6 months. ADSL TV saw an increase in its penetration rate to 43.9 percent of TV homes, followed by satellite (24.7%) and cable (8.4%). Overall, the proportion of TV homes declined by 1.4 percentage points in a year to 96.7 percent. TVs are the most popular screen, ahead of PCs (80.3% of homes), smartphones (59.3
