Over 6 mln Spaniards still lack 4G access - study

Around 6.5 million people in Spain are still unable to connect to a 4G network in their homes in spite of the aggressive LTE rollout plans of the major operators, according to a report by price comparison site Kelisto. A total of 85.9 percent of the country's households can now access 4G technology, but the penetration rates vary widely depending on the region, with Madrid (99.2%), Catalonia (97.7%), the Basque Country (97.7%) and Cantabria (96.9%) well ahead of regions such as Extremadura (85.5%), Castilla-La Mancha (83.2%) and Castilla-Leon (79.9%), while Zamora, Teruel, Cuenca and Soria
