Over 70% of German internet users bank online - study

Over 70 percent of Germans who regularly use the internet use online banking, according to a study conducted by Fudicia. Their key requirements are security and data protection, ahead of speed, ease and availability. A total of 19 percent of German internet users reject online banking completely, with security their main concern. Around one third are prepared to pay for secure online banking transactions - 12 percent are prepared to EUR 2 per month, 15 percent up to EUR 0.50 and 27 percent EUR 0.25 a month.
