Over 8 in 10 Spaniards unhappy about 'more for more' price hikes

Monday 3 December 2018 | 10:14 CET | News
Over 8 in 10 Spanish households are unhappy about operators applying a 'more for more' policy of hiking prices in exchange for improved offers in the form of more mobile data or voice minutes, according to a consumer survey conducted by regulator CNMC corresponding to the first half of 2018. Nearly half of respondents said their operator increased the monthly fixed line subscription price in the January to June period, some 60 percent of which corresponded to an improved offer, but 81.9 percent of them would have preferred to keep their previous rate and conditions, said the report.
