Over 8 in 10 Spanish homes use anti-virus to protect PCs

Around 82 percent of the Spanish computers are protected with anti-virus software but only 53 percent of Spanish social network users ensure their account profiles can only be accessed by their contacts. These are just two of the findings of a study issued by Spain's national observatory for telecommunications and the information society (ONTSI) together with the country's national institute for cybersecurity (INCIBE). The in-depth report, entitled "Cybersecurity and trust in Spanish households", also revealed that 90 percent of online banking users periodically check their current accounts
