Over 90% of Brazilian ISPs offer optical fibre to customers

Nine out of ten ISPs in Brazil offer optical fibre to their customers, according to a survey by the industry group CGI.br. The figure has grown to 91 percent of ISPs offering fibre, compared to 78 percent in the last survey in 2017. Wireless (73%) and cable (46%) are also among the most used access technologies, but showed a reduction of 11 and 5 percentage points, respectively, in the same period.
