Over half of Spaniards connecting at over 10 Mbps – Akamai

Spain posted the highest sequential increase in average broadband speed in Europe in the second quarter, rising by 5.9 percent to 14.1 Mbps, according to the latest 'State of the Internet' report from Akamai. Although still lagging behind countries such as Norway (20.1 Mbps), Sweden (18.8 Mbps) and Switzerland (18.3 Mbps), Spain has increased its average speed by 46 percent year on year, thanks above all to the accelerated high-speed fibre rollout of its leading operators.
