Pakistan ends May with 150.3 mln mobile subscribers

Pakistan ended May with 150.32 million mobile subscribers, up from 150.1 million in April, according to a report from the Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA). Pakistan added around 470,000 mobile 3g/4G service subscribers in May, ending the month with 55.47 million users, out of a total 57.74 million broadband users at end-May. Pakistan also had 2.65 million basic telephony subscribers. Mobile operator Jazz led the Pakistani mobile market with over 55.50 million mobile customers at end-April, followed by Telenor (43.53 million), Zong (30.98 million) and Ufone (20.29 million).
