Pakistan govt invests PKR 4.2 bln in telecom projects

Pakistan's Universal Service Fund (USF) has disbursed subsidies of PKR 4.2 billion in FY 2013/14 for its projects to provide telecom services across the country. The USF Projects covered the provision of basic telephony and data services, broadband connections in unserved urban areas, fiber optic lines to connect un-served tehsils and deployment of e-services.
