Pakistan launches 1800 MHz spectrum auction

Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA) has launched an 1800 MHz spectrum auction. The auction is open to Pakistan and foreign operators interested to acquire 10 MHz of spectrum in the 1800 MHz band for provision of 3G / 4G mobile services. The auction is open to existing as well as new licensees. Interested operators can submit their applications in the next 30 days, along with a non-refundale processing fee of USD 500 and pre-bid deposit of 15 percent of the base rice.
