Pakistan telecom revenues hit PKR 552 billion, user base tops 163 mln in 2019

The Pakistani telecom sector contributed over PKR 96 billion to the national exchequer in terms of taxes, duties and levies, and attracted investments of USD 636 million. Telecom sector revenue reached more than PKR 552 billion in 2019, according to a report from Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA). The sector attracted USD 236 million FDI during the year.
