Pakistani regulator orders Zong to withdraw 5G advertisement

Wednesday 18 September 2019 | 17:08 CET | News
Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has ordered domestic mobile operator Zong to withdraw any advertisements that may mislead the public regarding commercial availability of 5G services on the local market. The decision follows Zong's recent 5G advertisements in print and electronic media. The PTA says Zong was only allowed to carry out tests and trials of 5G technology. Zong is not authorized to offer commercial mobile services based on 5G technology in Pakistan.
