Panama launches national free Wi-Fi service

Panama has announced the launch of its Internet 2.0 national Wi-Fi network, designed to provide free access in a total of 1,320 public spaces throughout the country. The network "lays the foundation for giving all Panamanians, without exception, access to a modern and scientific education, supported by contemporary technological tools," said Panama's president Juan Carlos Varela at the launch ceremony.
