Panama looking to reduce mobile operators

The communications and transport committee of Panama's national assembly has approved modifications to the country's telecommunications law of 1995 to pave the way for further consolidation in the mobile sector. In a statement, the national assembly said the new bill would unlock much-needed investment in infrastructure and improve the use of spectrum resources by reducing the number of mobile companies from four to three.
