Paraguay has decided to push back its analogue switchoff from 2020 to 2021, reports La Nacion, citing National Telecommunications Commission (Conatel) head Andres Gubetich. Tests will start at the end of next year before DTT is finally introduced in all Paraguayan homes in 2021, said Gubetich, adding that there are already a number of operators transmitting in digital signals ahead of the switchover. These include Paraguay TV, Telefuturo, Noticias Paraguay, RCP. Unicanal and Paravision, among others. Paraguay formally adopted the Japanese-Brazilian digital TV system (ISDB-T) back in 2010.
