Paraguay home internet penetration up 7% to over 50%

The number of Paraguayan households with internet access increased by over 7 percentage points to 50.5 percent in 2018, reports Telesemana, citing data from a survey conducted by ICT ministry Mitic. Just over 6 in 10 (60.3%) of respondents said Tigo (Millicom) is their current ISP, well ahead of state-owned telecommunications operator Copaco with 22.3 percent, Personal Paraguay with 8.2 percent and Claro (America Movil) with 4.7 percent.
