Paraguayan state-controlled operator Copaco will complete the merger by absorption of its mobile operator Vox next month, reports local daily ABC, citing the head of the General Directorate of Public Companies Elvio Brizuela. The country's federal comptroller recommended the move last year in a bid to resolve the negative impact of Vox on Copaco's finances. The mobile operator currently has around 306,000 customers, equivalent to 4.1 percent of the market, well behind Claro (America Movil) with 1.7 million, Personal with 2.3 million and Tigo with 3.2 million.
