Paratus Telecom accuses Windhoek of breaching court order by interfering in cable laying

Paratus Telecom says threats by the City of Windhoek to interfere with their operations breaches a court order handed down in March, reports The Namibian. The municipality accused Paratus in court of illegally digging trenches along streets to install fibre optic cabling over about 35 kilometres. Suspended City of Windhoek information technology manager Reckliff Kandjiriomuini wrote to Paratus in July, accusing it of deliberately ignoring municipal laws by continuously digging trenches on municipal land.
