Paris city hall pulls out of talks on new base stations

Paris city government and mobile operators have failed to renegotiate a good conduct charter on the installation of new base stations and efforts to reduce electromagnetic emissions, according to local press reports. There are currently 1,200 base stations across the city and the number is due to rise with the arrival of Free Mobile. The municipality made proposals to frame the build out of more base stations in light of residents' concerns over emissions safety. The operators sought to renegotiate a number of points that formed part of the charter they signed in 2003. French operators'
