Pay-TV market penetration totals 55% in Russia - study

Russian pay TV market penetration currently totals 55 percent, according to the study from iKS-Consulting. The household digital pay-TV subscriber base totals around 14.5 million, up by 6 percent year-on-year. The cable TV subscriber base totals 16.8 million, up by 5 percent, with the satellite TV customer base up 19 percent to 10.7 million. The number of IPTV subscribers is up 73 percent to 2.7 million.
