Pay-TV users in the US watching more regular TV alongside OTT content - study

Pay-TV subscribers in the US are watching more regular, scheduled TV, even as they express increasing satisfaction with over-the-top streaming TV services, a study from JD Power about pay-TV vs. cable revealed. Pay-TV subscribers are watching nearly one hour per week more on regular TV and are thinking less about cutting the cord. "We're seeing a trend toward the co-existence of traditional and alternative service providers, with each offering some lessons to the other on how best to drive an increase in customer satisfaction," the study said.
