PayPoint processes over 189 mln transactions in Q1

Mobile payment operator PayPoint said it processed 189.3 million in the first quarter of the year, up 5 percent from the year before. Revenues for the quarter lifted 4 percent to GBP 53 million, with net revenues rising 9 percent to GBP 29 million, boosted by bill and general, top-ups, retail services and Mobile and Online. UK and Irish bill and general transactions were down 4 percent. Retail services transactions (ATMs, debit/credit cards, parcels, money transfer and mobile phone SIM cards) jumped 29 percent. Mobile top-ups continued to decrease as a result of the decline in the prepaid
