PC market down 0.9% in Q3 as Lenovo reclaims top spot - IDC

Shipments of traditional PCs (desktop, notebook and workstation) came to 67.4 million units in the third quarter, down 0.9 percent year on year but better than initially expected, according to preliminary data from IDC. The report said most of the top OEMs were able to fulfill a sizable portion of their demand and outperform the market despite concerns about processor shortages, unfavourable currency headwinds and other politico-economic factors.
