PC shipments up 1.4% to 62 mln in Q2 - Gartner

Global PC shipments rose by 1.4 percent year on year to 62.1 million units in the second quarter, up 2.7 percent year on year in what was the first quarter of annual growth since the start of 2012, according to preliminary data from Gartner. The report, which confirms recently published data from IDC, said all regions experienced some growth compared with a year ago, with the US PC market returning to growth after six consecutive quarters of declines, shipping 14.5 million units in Q2, a 1.7 percent increase from the same period last year.
