Personal computing device market to fall 2.7% in 2017 - IDC

The global personal computing devices (PCD) market of desktops, notebooks, workstations and tablets is set to fall 2.7 percent year on year to 423.3 million units in 2017, according to a report from the International Data Corporation (IDC). Although the contraction is slower than in 2016, shipments are expected to decline further (by 4% year on year) in 2018 and continue falling at a CAGR of -2.0 percent to 393.9 million in 2021.
